    Description

    Crown worms are ancient invertebrates, a genus of the class Trilobites.
    The edge of the head has a series of small protrusions, shaped like a crown, hence the name.
    The number of segments in the central axis of the tail is more than that in the costal leaves on both sides. The length of the intact insect is 3-6cm.

The anterior lobe is quite large, and it merges with the anterior part of the false saddle. The posterior part is significantly contracted and is rod-shaped. The narrow part of the back is crossed by 3 deep and wide transverse grooves; there are 9 on the edge of the movable cheek Dentoid tumor, with a thick tumor on the head, 11 segments on the chest; triangular tail, narrow central axis, plano convex, gradually narrowing backward, divided into 35-45 segments. The ribs have fewer joints, consisting of 14-15 simple ribs without grooves, and no ribs on the outer ends of the ribs.
    Survival age: The age of the crown worm is the Middle Silurian.
    Distribution area: the most in southern China, the main production is southern Sichuan, northern Guizhou, western Hubei, and southern Anhui. There are also discoveries in Japan.
    Living environment: Crown worms live in shallow waters.
    Size: The complete body of a single crown worm is 3 to 6 cm long.
