    Description

    This is a very beautiful and somewhat rare early 20th century antique solid 18 K yellow gold ring with a amazing 6 mm x 4.5 mm oval faceted natural ruby center stone , about .60 ct it is a gorgeous natural gemstone with natural inclusions that add to its beauty , it has a beautiful reddish pink color and sparkles and it moves . Under microscope it has one microscopic flea bite not noteworthy and sits in four dual claw type prongs with eight tips holding the gemstone in and one of them is a little shorter than the other seven seen in the photos also not noteworthy , This center stone is set very securely with 16 additional small round faceted 0.034 ct natural pinkish red rubies with natural inclusions seen under magnification ,The gold is worn a little smooth around the outside edges of the smaller stones but they are all still very securely set . the ring has a total gem carat weight of about 1.15 cts and the 16 smaller rubies are a little bit lighter pink color than the center stone probably just because there smaller and all 17 of these rubies sparkle both red and pink when the ring moves . The ring is very well-made with a opened work filigree design around the sides and a sturdy band that has the old block style 18K stamp on the inside of the band . The ring weighs 2.7 g and it is a size 7.25 that can easily be sized by a jeweler , it measures 14.3 mm north to south on the top or around 5/8 of an inch .
