    Here is a stunning specimen of Morocconites malladoides from the Devonian of Morocco. This fossil was prepared in the Extinctions Prep Lab years ago, sold to a MAJOR collector, then we re-acquired it from that collector. This sleek trilobite has an extremely long, free-standing "horn" spine extending off the front of the cephalon. This ''Unicorn'' bug is quite 3-dimensional and very well preserved in an outstretched position. The wonderfully articulated trilobite is extremely large for the type (3.7 inches long!) and exhibits great detail (there is a natural fault running through the cephalon, but it doesn't take away from the display, it just gives it more character! The classic jet black color of the fossil is both fully natural and quite beautiful. The distinct trilobite is wonderfully showcased on the sculpted block of dense limestone. This is a fabulous display example of Morocconites - the Unicorn of Trilobites.
