This is an unusual Olenellid trilobite. It is a detailed Nephrolenellus geniculatus from Nevada. This distinct type has a wide head, bulbous glabella, no tailspine, and large third segment pleurons that taper into long spines - this specimen showcases these features beautifully. This colorful trilobite is very inflated and has excellent detail preserved. And, best of all, it is a split pair - both the part and the counterpart are intact and are offered together! This is a very fine positive/negative example of this unusual Lower Cambrian bug from "Out West".
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS.com is included with this specimen. FREE SHIPPING in the USA!
