Khatamkari Marquetry Camel Bone Persian Hunting Scene Inlaid Frame Calligraphy

A lovely Persian camel bone painting of a hunting scene, very detailed and intricate, surrounded by gorgeous illumination, set in a frame of marquetry wood, brass, and bone, with an additional marquetry inlay on the outer edge of the frame.
In really nice shape. No losses, well-cared for. There is one bubble in the resin on the frame, and an as-made white smudge in the mat. Shown in photos.
The amount of work that goes into these pieces is simply amazing. Just preparing the bone, painting, then calligraphy, and illumination are stunning. But then, the frames have tiny pieces of hand formed bone, wood, brass, and other things in the traditional Khatam pattern, inlaid into a frame lined with wood and camel bone.
This is a work of art, and a pride of the Persian people, who have contributed so much to our world history and culture.  It's just gorgeous.
