Vintage Beautiful Leather Camel Saddle Footstool W/Brass Caps/Studs

This is a vintage camel saddle or footstool from the Middle East.  My father brought it home after a trip to Egypt, but he visited other countries so I'm not 100% sure which country it is from.  It may be hand made, but, again, I am not sure.  It really is a saddle for a camel, but we used it as a footstool or ottoman, although we children liked to "ride" it, too.
The saddle has wear along the piping on the seams and some scratches on the seat.  (See photos.)  The seat has beautiful gold pictures etched or stamped on it.  It used to have a brass bell, but that seems to be lost with the years as it was a favorite "toy" of my baby sister.
There are brass studs on each of the feet.  The feet show some wear.  (See photos.)
This saddle is about 14" tall, 22" long and 13" wide.  It weighs 12 to 13 pounds.
