Heavy Copper Tray Table with Silver Inlay
Egypt Scenes with Symbols, People, Camels, Text
Complete with original folding wooden legs (some are a bit bent, one has some damage on very bottom)
Diameter exactly 27 3/8"
Tray weight just under 20lbs = less than 10kg
I purchased this table in 1978 at an auction house in Hamburg, Germany. Prior history is unknown.
Images show the tray after I did one treatment of Tarnex, to allow the silver inlay to have proper contrast.
Later images show how I typically had it in my home, allowing natural oxidation, showing regrettably little of the fine silver work.
Last photo shows the very slight bend on the rim. I believe i could correct that, have not tried yet.
