Vintage Middle Eastern Turkish Copper Incense Burner Brazier Warmer

A Middle Eastern Copper Brazier Warmer (or Incense Burner), Turkey, c. Mid 20th Century. This piece would look exceptional while on display in an array of interior styles - It's the perfect conversation piece. While would use this as a large burner for incense, this piece is actually a Brazier. In Traditional Turkish Culture, this would have been used to heat a small closed space with hot coals or wood. The solid copper hull shows a stunning pieced motif throughout, which ideally allows airflow from all sides. The top lifts off to reveal its cross frame, this is where the "Fire Bowl" would sit, this is not included with this piece. The top of the piece shows a cast figural motif with great details shown. The piece stands on three legs, all of which shows a stunning lions face.
Condition:
This piece was exceptionally well made, it stands sturdy and solid. The copper shows an aged finish with mild patina shown in select areas. The finish is uncleaned or polished. The inside of the hull shows signs of previous use and oxidation. A crack in the copper is shown upon top. This is circled in our photo gallery to reference.
