    Description

This is a lovely vintage painting from Turkey depicting Persian polo players in a game of polo with a lovely, colorful city in the background.  It is painted on camel bone which how a lot of these types of Persian paintings were done.  It is covered with glass in a lovely frame with khatam marquetry inlaid, micromosaic style.  It is missing the bottom piece of the frame trim.   It can sit on a table by its own or hang on a wall.  The colors and definition are amazing!  This is most likely from the 1930s or 1940s and was given as a gift in the 1980s. It measures 11 1/2" long by 6" wide.
